Information as Infrastructure
Foundation
I believe that content is not a decorative layer added to a product; it is a functional component of the technical stack. In my view, documentation should be treated with the same architectural rigor as the code it supports. With over 15 years of experience in complex product environments, I have found that the most successful systems are those where information is treated as a governed, version-controlled asset rather than a static output.
Architect’s Perspective
My approach has evolved from producing content to engineering the systems that make content possible.
Systems Over Artifacts: I prioritize the creation of scalable frameworks. Whether I am architecting a Docs-as-Code environment or leading the strategy for a new documentation platform, I look for the underlying engine. Crisp prose is the result of a healthy system, not the starting point.
The Engineering Convergence: I believe the most effective content strategy happens where developers live. By utilizing Git, GitHub, Markdown, and Python, I ensure that documentation is a seamless part of the deployment pipeline rather than a separate, manual hurdle.
Automation as Leverage: I view Generative AI as a tool for architectural scale. I focus on building automated workflows and evaluation rubrics that allow teams to maintain high standards of accuracy and brand integrity while significantly increasing their velocity.
Core Principles
Navigating Ambiguity: Ambiguity is an inherent part of the product lifecycle. I provide the structure and data-backed strategy required to move through uncertain phases. When goals are evolving, a strong content framework acts as the anchor that helps a team maintain its direction.
Governance as Freedom: Rigid processes can be stifling, but well-engineered governance provides the freedom to move fast. By building modular features and processes, I enable teams to innovate without breaking the user experience.
Inherent Inclusivity: True architecture is accessible by default. I build information ecosystems that are discoverable and useful for everyone ranging from the primary developer to the executive stakeholder.
